In 2004, four people introduced a different concept of youth basketball tournament and three of them have stayed on to continue the advocacy that "greatness should start from the grass-roots level". All are involved in teaching the fundamentals of basketball, coaching and league organizing. Monica S. Jorge, Edwin P. Barber and Eva L. Celestino have founded the KIDZHOOPS Community Basketball League which has eventually led to the birth of the company Sports4All. Inc.

All three studied and have once been members of the University of the Philippines Varsity Teams. Each one of them has developed their coaching and organizing skills separately.

Monica S. Jorge, was a member UP Women's Basketball Team '88 and the Philippine Youth Basketball Team '88. She also has attended coaching seminars in the US. Of the present, she is the AVP in Operations of the BEST Center.


Edwin P. Barber, coached the JV Girls Basketball Team of IS Manila '95, UP Women's Team '98 - '02 and Poveda Learning Center. He then became the Sports Consultant of the school. A member of the National Secretariat SBP-Passerelle and is the Asst Training Director of the BEST Center. He is also a faculty member of the UP College of Human Kinetics.


Eva L. Celestino, was a member of the UP Women's Volleyball, Basketball and Track & Field throughout college and was a member of the Philippine Women’s Basketball Team in ’87 & ‘89. Her coaching experiences were: UP Integrated School Girls Team; UP Elementary SBP Team and the Int'l School Manila Girls Varsity Team and the Asst. Coach of UP Women's Team in 2010. She was also the Basketball Head Coach for Afternoon Activities Elementary Dept. also of ISM up to 2011.


The founders of KIDZHOOPS believe, “Using a concept of Rights as Basis for Practice” for the youth may be addressed by providing recreational opportunities for the youth in a safe and organized environment.
